Education as a system

The Stack Behind the Work

My education ended up becoming the exact stack I use now: design, systems, and business. I started with graphic design, moved into web and IT, then added an MBA so I could connect creative work to strategy, measurement, and real outcomes.

  1. BA Design
  2. MS Web / IT
  3. MBA Strategy
  4. Creative Technology

That is why my current projects sit between podcast production, web tools, dashboards, Remotion, and AI-assisted workflows.

Three layers

Design layer

BA Graphic Design

How to make things look right.

This gave me the foundation in visual hierarchy, typography, branding, layout, photography, responsive design, and design process. It still shows up in thumbnails, lower thirds, captions, motion graphics, social templates, and product interfaces.

  • Typography
  • Visual hierarchy
  • Branding
  • Layout
  • Photography
  • Responsive design
  • Process books
  • Style guides
Build layer

MS Information Technology / Web Design

How to make things work right.

This moved me from static design into systems: UX, websites, databases, technical communication, project planning, networking, optimization, and deployment. That background connects directly to React dashboards, local-first apps, GuestFlow, LaunchFoundry, and media workflow tools.

  • UX
  • Web design
  • HTML / CSS / JS
  • Databases
  • Systems analysis
  • Project management
  • Technical communication
  • Website optimization
Business layer

MBA Business Administration

How to make things pay right.

The MBA helped me connect creative work to business decisions: strategy, brand management, analytics, leadership, change management, measurement, and positioning. That matters because a project is not only a design or a build — it has to make sense for the person or business using it.

  • Strategy
  • Brand management
  • Analytics
  • Balanced Scorecard
  • Change management
  • Leadership
  • Pricing & packaging
  • Business recommendations

How this shows up in my current work

The through-line is systems. A logo is part of a system. A website is part of a system. A podcast workflow is part of a system. A content offer is part of a system.

That is why my current projects sit between media production, web tools, dashboards, and AI-assisted workflows.

GuestFlow

GuestFlow connects podcast guest coordination, scheduling, follow-ups, missing assets, launch links, and share kits into one workflow.

In development

LaunchFoundry

LaunchFoundry turns a website or project folder into a campaign plan, prompt pack, Remotion brief, SEO plan, and posting calendar.

In development

CUTROOM

CUTROOM explores how long-form podcast editing can become less painful through transcripts, edit decisions, reel finding, and AI-assisted production workflows.

High Functioning systems

The High Functioning podcast work combines production, editing, captions, thumbnails, analytics, guest coordination, and social content systems.

Why this matters

I am not just collecting tools or making random apps. The pattern has been there for years: understand the situation, design a useful system, document the reasoning, and turn it into something people can actually use.

That is the same pattern I use now for podcast production, local-business content systems, dashboards, Remotion templates, and AI-assisted workflows.

See what this turned into

The education is the foundation. The current work is where it becomes useful: media systems, dashboards, automation tools, and production workflows.
